Science Lab
Through Experiments, Observation & Exploration
At Gateway International High School, our Science Lab is a hands-on learning space where students can explore the fascinating world of Chemistry and Biology. We believe science becomes more meaningful when students can observe, experiment, investigate and connect classroom concepts with the real world.
Under one roof
The Science Lab supports classroom learning by giving students practical experiences that help bring scientific concepts to life. Students can observe processes, conduct age-appropriate experiments and develop a deeper understanding of scientific principles.
- Properties of materials and substances
- States of matter
- Mixtures and separation
- Acids, bases and indicators
- Chemical reactions
- Solutions and solubility
- Safe handling of laboratory materials
- Plant and animal structures
- Cells and their basic functions
- Life processes
- Human body systems
- Human anatomy
- Microorganisms and their role
- Plants and their importance
- Biodiversity and the living world
An important part of Biology learning is understanding the human body and its organs. Our lab provides models, charts, diagrams and practical demonstrations to help students learn about major organs and body systems.
- Heart & Circulatory System
- Lungs & Respiratory System
- Brain & Nervous System
- Digestive System
- Kidneys & Urinary System
- Skeletal & Muscular Systems
The Science Lab encourages students to be active participants in their learning. Instead of simply reading, students can observe, experiment, record observations and discuss their findings.

Early Years – Nursery to PP2
Simple observations, demonstrations and age-appropriate activities to encourage curiosity about the world around them.
Primary School – Grades 1–5
Basic Chemistry and Biology concepts through experiments, demonstrations and observation activities that complement classroom learning.
Middle & Senior – Grades 6–10
More structured practical learning including experiments, investigations, scientific observations and human anatomy studies.
- Safety First
More structured practical learning including experiments, investigations, scientific observations and human anatomy studies.
- Connecting Science with Everyday Life
From the food we eat and the materials around us to the human body, plants, health and the environment, science helps us understand the world in which we live.
- Inspiring Future Scientists
Our Science Lab aims to develop curiosity and encourage students to explore scientific questions with confidence. By combining Chemistry, Biology and Human Anatomy with practical learning, we provide a strong foundation for future opportunities in science and related fields.
